Small 19thc French copper cooking pot
A 19thc French copper cooking pot in hammered copper with a snug fitting lid, dovetail seams, rivets and a cast iron handle.
Hand crafted in the traditional way using techniques passed down through the generations.
Designed for cooking over an open hearth, this is beautiful object would make one or two servings. It has been used and well cared for and is still partially tinned inside.
Very good condition for its age. It has a small repair to the base, the odd tiny ding and the warm patina that comes with over a century of use and handling.
