Roger Guerin Art Deco glazed stoneware vase, cachepot
Large Roger Guerin Art Deco studio pottery vase or cachepot in glossy glazed stoneware. From around 1920-30.
In muted tones of blue and yellow, it has a handsome shape with 2 decorative handles.
The Guérin signature and number 193/b are etched on the base.

In very good condition. A small chip underneath the bottom so normally invisible.
About Roger Guérin
Guérin (1896-1954 ) was a renowned Belgian art ceramist who specialised in experimental salt glaze techniques at the height of the Art Deco era. His work won a medal at the Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in 1925, and was exhibited internationally. Guérin pottery was produced in short runs. Each piece is numbered and unique.
