Pair of French Art Deco Coffee Dubelloires, silver plate
Superb pair of French Art Deco coffee dubelloires from around 1920 in silver plate and ivory.
The handles and knobs on the lids and the filters are carved in ivory. All pieces un-screw so the silver can be cleaned without damaging the ivory. Each has hallmarks for silver plate (5 gr) and patent pending (modèle déposé).
They’re designed to filter coffee into one cup. This system for percolating the perfect cup of coffee was invented in 1802.

The dubelloires are in very good condition. There is some cracking on one of the knobs, they other has minor crazing. They’re functional, decorative and rare.
