Mid century zoomorphic vase, poterie du Breuil
Large mid century zoomorphic vase in the shape of a hungry bird with gaping mouth and Dr Seuss eyelashes.
Glazed in duck-egg-blue and heavily textured, this fabulous 1950s ceramic jug was made at the Breuil pottery in the Dordogne, France c1950. It was designed by Bruno Dose and is quite hard to find.
Signed Brunod, registered and with model number 664 on the base.

The vase is in good condition. Please note, a graze to the elbow has been repaired. The mend is visible but not intrusive and adds a certain wabi-sabi charm to a this quirky and original piece.
