Rare Keith Murray modernist vase designed for Stevens & Williams, England. Made around 1930.
The body is in pink glass with a dense, quite treacle-y bubble decor and a spreading foot in clear glass. The pontil has been ground out and polished.
Height 6 ¾” / 17cm
Diameter at top 7″ / 18cm
Excellent condition.
New Zealand-born Keith Murray (1892-1981) was one of the most important and influential designers in Britain in ceramics, glass and metalwork between the two world wars.
