Gilt bronze ceiling light with opalescent glass shade
Antique gilt bronze ceiling light with deep, mould-blown opalescent glass shade, c1890-1900.
This is a splendid light with an ornate milky blue opalescent glass shade and heavy ormolu mount.
It has been re-wired and takes a B19 bayonet bulb (or bulb adapter to accommodate a screw bulb.) There’s a sturdy hook inside the ceiling rose for suspending the light from the ceiling.

Complete and in excellent condition. The bronze has a beautiful warm patina. The glass has two small creases from when the glass was blown. They are quite insignificant and, as you see, they don’t affect display.
