Gien Rambouillet Irish setter desert plate
A Gien Rambouillet faience desert plate with a hand painted design of a red setter, pictured with a hare and gun.
Signed with the Gien back stamp used between 1960 and 1971 and initialled by the painter.
The Rambouillet series was designed by Jean Bertholle in 1955 by French president René Coty to commerate the Presidential hunt, presumably in the forest of Rambouillet outside Paris.
