Antique Gien plates, set of 4
Unusual suite of 4 antique Gien faience plates with assorted decor from the late 19th century.
They are variously decorated with the painted Italian Renaissance pattern, a stylized swan motif in blue and red, a scalloped plate with a monogram in the centre and its companion with gryphons and urns.
All four plates have the Gien backstamp from around 1875, the golden age of Gien faience.
Diameter: 9.25 – 9.5 inches / 23.5cm -24.5 cm
Good condition, some superficial crazing.
