A set of 2 GIEN antique enamelled plates depicting a cockerel and a hen from around 1875.
This pair of faience plates have a vibrant cloisonné-style decor on a crackle glaze background. The technique is reminiscent of the potteries of Longwy and Vieillard but is extremely unusual in Gien.
Beautifully executed and very decorative. We’re delighted to be able to offer the pair together.
