A large Fernand Carpent Art Deco vase from the 1930s, 40s.
Carpent (1899-1962) trained under Edgard Aubry, working at the Chatelet and Bouffioulx potteries, forging his own distinctive style. The vase is in stoneware with a beautiful dark blue and toffee glaze. Signed F. Carpent, numbered 43.
