Dax Art Deco polar bear figure by Edouard Cazaux c1930
Splendid Dax sculpture of a polar bear in glossy caramel faience from around 1930. This magnificent figure was designed by the French ceramist and sculptor, Edouard Cazaux (1889-1974), who was born near the French town of Dax, hence his choice of pseudonym. The signature is visible near the base.

Excellent condition. Very small unglazed patch from fabrication towards the base.
