Stunning Henri Gandais Art Nouveau vase from around 1900-1910.
In hand thrown stoneware pottery with thick and vibrant enamel decor in turquoise, orange, yellow and black, glazed b lack inside.
Signed on the base, H Gandais 204X.

Henri Gandais (1875-1961) was an important French Art Nouveau ceramist whose work was shown alongside Auguste Delaherche and Ernest Chaplet in the early years of the 20th century. Examples of his pottery can be found in museums such as Paris’ Musee des Arts Décoratifs.
