Art Deco ceiling light wrought iron frosted glass c1930
An Art Deco ceiling light with a moulded frosted glass globe in a wrought iron setting, hand worked with leaves and tendrils from around 1930.
The use of wrought iron was very fashionable in Art Deco France and both it and the ornate globe are typical of the period.
The frosted glass globe is moulded with flowers and a central star and gives off a soft and warm light.
Height 17 inches / 43cm
Globe diameter 6.5 inches / 17cm
In good working condition. The light is wired to take a bayonet B22 bulb or adapter. There are the usual little nibbles to the glass where it fits to the metal and some tiny patches of rust to the metal, insignificant and out of sight. A beautifully crafted Art Deco light.
