Antique silk fan with mother of pearl c1880
Hand-painted silk and mother of pearl fan from the late 19th century, circa 1880.
The silk satin leaves are hand painted with a colourful variety of flowers and a songbird. The sticks are pink mother of pearl and the guardstick length is 12.7 inches / 32.5cm.
The fan is finished with a long knotted silk tassel and comes with a padded floral box which may be original.
The back of the fan has small stains and marks.
A beautiful antique fan in very good condition with no repairs.
