Antique stoneware jug, 19th century
Antique French stoneware jug from in warm beige pottery with glaze drips from the Loiret, France.
Probably used for collecting cream or for serving wine or water on the farm or in a chateau kitchen.
The inside is glazed and watertight.
Hand thrown, solid and made to last. Fingermarks and natural irregularities. The small imperfections around the handle are from when the jug was fired and are not structural.
