Jean Painlevé bracelet with salamanders
A very rare Jean Painlevé bracelet with salamander lizards on turquoise bakelite plaques.
It is made up of 5 hinged panels surmounted with plaques which are riveted to the metal. One panel is marked Made in France. The bracelet fastens with a push-in clasp.
Typically, this jewellery features brown, cream or red plaques – turquoise blue is extremely unusual.

The bracelet has wear, particularly to the back. Still very wearable and with strong collector interest.
