Antique bevelled glass jewel box
Antique French bevelled glass and pinchbeck jewel box or reliquary lined with pale blue cushioned silk, 19th century.
These boxes were popular from the time of Napoleon III. This one is in clear glass but later boxes showing well known French monuments on the lid were sold as souvenirs to Victorians on the Grand Tour.
Measures 2.3 inches square / 6cm square
Very good condition, no chips to the glass, the silk lining is clean and intact.
