André Delatte (1887-1953) was an industrialist, master glassmaker and founder in 1921 of Verreries de l’Est SA which enjoyed particular success for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco art glass. Delatte was inspired by Muller Frères, whom he knew personally. His company was active from 1919 to 1933, during which time he recruited (ie. poached!) glass workers from the Daum works. That helped contribute to the company’s closure.
