1950s Thirkell silk scarf, pink chinoiserie design
A 1950s Thirkell silk scarf with a pink, brown and white chinoiserie design.
Printed in faux-jacquard, with an ornate pattern of pagodas, fishermen with cormorants and dancers. The prestigious Roy Thirkell of Bond Street opened in 1945 and was in business until 1988.
In soft silk finished with hand rolled hems which have flattened with time.
It measures 26 inches / 66cm square.
In very good condition, minuscule marks.
