Description
Victorian riveted copper jug, English
A large Victorian riveted copper jug, probably from around 1850.
Sturdy and watertight, the body is in beaten copper with an unusual riveted construction, which must have taken great skill. The handle is brass.
It has two dents on one side which could be restored but shouldn’t, as they are part of its history and charm.
Height 11 inches / 28cm
Width 6 ¾ inches / 17cm
