Legras Plaine Saint-Denis Enamelled Vase with Forest Scene
This graceful 19th century vase is typical of pieces made by Legras at the Plaine Saint-Denis factory in northern Paris, and as with many pieces, it is unsigned.
The raised enamel decoration shows a detailed river and woodland scene.
The glass itself is amber coloured and quite thick. It has a ground out pontil.
The subject and quality of the enamelling are typical of the factory.
