Antique earthenware confit pot SW France
This is a superb antique French confit pot. It’s hand-thrown and half glazed in a warm, honey colour. It comes from South West France and dates from the mid 19th century.
This pot is older and more artisanal than the traditional confit pots from Provence potteries. A local expert could tell which village it was made in, but we’ll leave that to the experts.
Height 10 inches / 25cm

It’s in excellent condition. It has gently weathered to a warm patina, and has no cracks or restoration.
